A Funny Thing

Old age is a funny thing.

It softens the heart,

Opens the eyes and makes you wonder teary eyed.

Those you love, hold so close.

Makes you wonder how time goes.

(No matter how many times you see it)

Ways to give back, front and center

Putting your foot down on the breaks.

Only God knows, " they say"

But how we go about it is another.
