Blink

It was a weird day,

A day that found me standing in the local grocery store.

I felt less than attractive, oddly displaced with my messy hair.

Nothing seemed to make sense, and yes I ate before I left the house.

Lost in daydreams,

He caught me between the bacon and the beans.

Tall as a pine

twinkling blue eyes and a hidden, bearded smile.

I immediately did what any sane woman would do, I blinked.

blink blink,

cue blushing cheeks, and add a shy smile.

I couldn't help but feel beautiful.

Suddenly at ease, I realized why I was there.

It was the one thing I didn't have on my list.

A smile.
