I found myself wandering an ancient forest, lost in heartache and bleeding from the soul.
And in this place I'd hide as deeply as I could in the ferns.
The sun would tease the nearby spider webs, laces of dew covered in rainbows.
My breath cold, my tears hot.
All I could do was lay there next to the trees.
Until one day, I felt her calling me, inviting me into herself, her soft red bark. So warm yet cold, just like me.
A place for me to belong and be protected while I let go of so much pain.
I'd hold on to my moonstone beads while up inside her and just listened.
There was no WiFi, no radiation, just my body alongside this tree.
A tree that knew so much more than I did, seen so many walk by. I wondered how someone like her, a different species could love and hold me as she did. And she did.
She watched me grow and let go.
Become stronger as the years passed and when it was time for me to say goodbye, I lit the sage leaf carried in my pocket and prayed.
And as I closed my eyes, she tucked a vision into my head of another tree, in another land, in a language so clear it cannot be spoken.
But what I can say is this, we are all very much connected. And no matter where we are on Earth, we all can hear this language and speak to one another.
We all can impact each other for the good, regardless of species and how we share our frequencies matter most.
It's who we are in our hearts and it's our hearts that see the other as ourselves.
